We perform most types of small animal surgeries, from basic spay and neuter, skin mass removals, to surgical teeth extractions, major abdominal surgeries, and orthopedic surgeries. We use the most up to date anesthetic monitoring system, along with our surgical laser.

Some of the basic surgeries we perform:

  • Spay
  • Neuter
  • Laser Declaw
  • Mass Removals

Some of the orthopedic surgeries we perform:

  • Cruciate Tear Repair (extracapsular and tightrope procedures)
  • Fracture Repairs (bone plates, pins and external fixators)
  • Medial Luxating Patella Correction

What is Laser Surgery?

LASER stands for Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation. A laser is an optoelectronic device that produces highly concentrated light rays. Interaction of laser light with tissue provides a fundamentally different approach to surgery. In laser surgery, a highly focused laser beam can efficiently ablate (either vaporize or chip away) the living tissue. At the same time, it seals (welds) capillaries, small blood vessels, lymphatics, and nerve endings, with significant benefits to both patients and surgeons.
post-surgical, acute, and chronic disease states.

Photobiomodulation (PBM) therapy occurs when a dose of light energy reaches target tissue and results in decreased inflammation, decreased pain, and accelerated healing. This doctor-prescribed, technician-driven modality effectively treats a wide variety of conditions including pre-surgical, post-surgical, acute, and chronic disease state.

Special Feature Story:

Blue came to Justin Animal Hospital as a young dog with an injury. He had a procedure done previously that had left his entire front leg curved and unable to use it properly. There were discussions of amputation, which is not an option with a heavy-chested bully like Blue. He traveled to us from out of state to allow Dr. Denna and Dr. Paul to save his leg.
